Another electrification company worth knowing about
You backed RISE because you believe the industries powering our world are ready for cleaner, smarter solutions. I recently met the founders of a YC-backed company working toward that same goal. The company is called Airthium and they are electrifying factory heat.
Airthium has garnered significant interest from investors, analysts, and decision makers. They have over $9M in funding from Y Combinator, Eren Group, the French government, and 2500+ Wefunder investors, as well as a top 4.9/5.0 rating from Kingscrowd in their current round.
Similar to RISE, Airthium’s electrification solution beats legacy systems on cost and efficiency. Their heat pump runs on electricity when power is cheaper and switches to the factory's existing gas boiler when gas is cheaper. The initial prototype is built, and an LOI for a paid pilot with a major French chemical producer marks their first step toward commercialization.
Airthium’s co-founder Franck struck me as sharp, curious, and disciplined. I was impressed by the investments they secured from Y Combinator and the French government, plus their solution has a huge market, so I invested. They believe in RISE too; they're an investor in our round.
