A €56B Construction Giant Just Sent 13 Leaders To See Beltdraulic™
Last week, a senior delegation from Groupe Bouygues, a ~€56B French industrial group with major construction and infrastructure businesses, spent the morning touring our lab in Somerville.
Thirteen leaders made the trip, organized by MIT's Office of Corporate Relations, including their Group Chief Innovation Officer and technical heads from across their construction and infrastructure divisions. The head of their construction group was particularly excited by the potential for our technology to replace hydraulics in heavy machinery.
Construction is one of the largest markets still running on hydraulics: systems that leak oil, waste energy, and need constant maintenance. A company the size and caliber of Bouygues sending their most senior leaders to see our technology firsthand tells us the industry is ready for better alternatives.
Visits like this confirm we're building toward tremendous commercial demand in a $750B market that hasn't changed in a century. We can’t wait to capture this with all of you. 🦾
