An aerospace company that shares our engineering discipline
Many of you backed RISE because you believe in step change technologies that disrupt legacy mechanical systems. I recently met Andrei Evulet, co-founder and CEO of Jetoptera, and his team is applying that same instinct to aviation.
Jetoptera has built the Fluidic Propulsive System® (FPS®), a bladeless propulsion architecture that replaces the loud, dangerous propellers of helicopters and other vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Instead of rotors, the FPS uses directed airflow, enabling their aircraft to fly faster, safer, and quieter than helicopters.
When I met Andrei, I was impressed by how they’ve defined a crisp MVP with cargo and agriculture drones. Especially in a high stakes industry like aviation, it makes perfect sense to start simple: no batteries, no pilots, small footprint. We share the same engineering philosophy to start small within massive, proven markets.
With $6.1M in revenue and an impressive 189 patents, they’re already on their way to proving their drone technology and future passenger aircraft.
I’m excited about a technology that will make our skies quieter instead of noisier as drones become commonplace, so I ended up investing. Andrei backed RISE too.
