THE MULTI-STAGE SPRING ASSISTED COMPRESSOR.

SIMPLY THE BEST OIL-FREE COMPRESSION SOLUTION.

RISE™ is licensing the highest performance pumps for oil-free air compression.

RISE™ compression technology gives remarkable low-temperature and constant-force compression to increase pump efficiency, producing 75% more air for the same electrical power in the category of oil-free compression.

The low-RPM pump and low-RPM motor combine for quiet operation. RISE™  compression technology driven pumps guarantee long-lasting and reliable operation because of oil-and-gas-industry seals and lubricants and geometry insights.

RISE™  compression technology consists of a linkage and a pump-assist which drive two huge, two-stage cylinders. RISE™ pumps are quieter and literally cooler because of RISE™  compression technology

2-IN-1 MULTI-STAGE PISTON

Two-stage compressors perform less work to compress air to a given pressure, which means your operating costs are lower.  RISE™  compression linkage technology includes a unique first-stage compression that occurs as the volume in the smaller cylinder expands.

Seal reliability increases due to the inter cooling between stages which reduces component wear by overheating. This means less down-time and increased productivity.

SPRING ASSIST COMPRESSION

Pump assist technology combines with RISE™  compression linkage technology to provide smoother torque curves for the driving motor at a given cylinder size.  This allows us to choose larger cylinders that compress air in a manner that is closer to isothermal in nature than the average piston compressor.

RECIPROCATING  COMPRESSION

Designing a reciprocating piston air compressor is a balance of efficiency between the motor and the air pump.

Pump efficiency decreases with increasing pump speed.  This is due to a multitude of factors involving the quality of heat transfer characteristics, valve closing and opening times, friction, and vibration.

A pump that runs very slowly forces the driving motor's torque profile to be more uneven, causing motor efficiency to drop sharply.

These two optimization pressures are opposed: A very low RPM air pump will have an efficient pumping cycle but inefficient and erratic motor torque and current profiles.  A high RPM pump with small displacements per cycle will have consistent motor torque and current characteristics but low air pump efficiency.

RISE™  compression

In one complete stroke cycle, the RISE™  compression produces three times the volume of air as a standard piston compressor, at one third the operating speed.

RISE™  compression uses non-linear linkage mechanisms and a spring-assist design in order to smoothen the slow pump's torque characteristics that would normally be erratic.

With a given average torque, RISE™  compression decreases peak torque by more than a factor of two.

This enables much slower operating RPMs that carry with them higher pump efficiencies at no cost to motor efficiency, thus improving overall system efficiency.

At the 1.5 HP size, LongBore pumps operate efficiently at an unprecedentedly low 250 RPM.
